25, 2008 Title: Excellent bag Beginning my quest of packing lightly, I ordered the Rick Steves Convertible Carry On. When it arrived, I thought at first I had been sent the wrong item as the box was so light, but the Carry On actually IS that light. It had plenty of space for everything I needed without having to use the zipper expansion which would probably make it larger than carry-on size anyway. There were many compartments to put items in though they are almost all external. It came not only with the security pouch, but two mesh bags as well, which I found rather handy.
I had looked at many carry-on size bags online and was discouraged by the high price until I found this one. Though more than I've spent on a suitcase in the past, it was a purchase well worth it. I plan to use it every time I travel and will probably get rid of all my bigger/rolling suitcases now.
The backpack straps and waist belt were quite comfortable. The shoulder strap and handle were not used as much but are a good option to have.
Packing in a carry-on size bag only is a very liberating feeling and this bag was great for helping me do so.

26, 2007 Title: Absolutely Excellent packs for Family Travel! Everything written about these great packs is right - they worked great for our family of four schlepping through Spain, the South of France, and Paris. They were very roomy especially as each of us used one of those vacuum clothing bags, and easy to access...
My only complaint is that it was not clear to us that should straps are included free with the pack, so we'd bought them separately from another site and now will have to return them.

19, 2009 Title: Very pleased This backpack suitcase is pretty much exactly what we needed. The straps that tighten down the load could use a little redesiging so they don't pull so much against the zipper, but overall we loved this bag. We are going to be traveling to the South Pacific on a very mobile 6 week trip and need to have something light and very functional that we can carry easily leaving our hands free most of the time. This bag is made for such an adventure. The straps are well designed to fit and not slip off shoulders. We plan to purchase a second one before departure. Thanks

13, 2008 Title: Right Backpack For The Airlines It's the right size, weight, and durability for a carry-on. It's the best piece of luggage I own and will continue to be my most used piece of luggage.

13, 2009 Title: Not durable enough to check This is a decent bag as long as you use it as a carry-on only. Although a zipper-pull came off while my husband was pulling the bag out of an overhead on the brand-new bag's second flight! However, we checked the bag on our return home, and it suffered a great amount of wear. I don't think it was treated any more roughly than normal by the airline it's just not durably made.

18, 2008 Title: The Best Luggage My wife and I have spent a fortune on luggage throughout the years. The price of this bag initially caught my eye, but the pluses are much more than that. It is light weight, has many large compartments, and can actually fit my large shoes in a separate compartment. The fact that I can use it as cary-on luggage and convert it into a backpack when needed makes this our luggage of choice for our Aisa and Mainland USA trips.
