KIPLING #AC2491 measures 58 inches when fully extended. Once there is a seam or a zipper present on a bag you can no longer consider is it waterproof. The material itself is water resistant.- Answered

AC2491 Product Review We bought this as a case for digital camera, battery charger, cords, instruction manual, etc. (really couldn't find a camera case that would fit all the stuff and wasn't really big). It does the job perfectly!

06, 2005 Title: Excellent Waist Bag I did not give this item 5 stars because we've not had them long enough to make an informed decision; both my husband and I bought the same bag but in different colors. We are impressed with the design...lots of pockets and room. I am particularly impressed with the zippers because they are wide, heavy duty and easy to open and close.

AC2491 Product Review This is a super bag. It is very versatile having both a fanny pack and a shoulder strap. It is large enough for small wallet and cell plus a few extras! I love to use it for fairs or the mall so you don't have to lug around a big bag. Thumbs up to Kipling for another fine product! A++

23, 2010 Title: Love Kipling products - they never wear out Was looking for a fanny pack after finally deciding to retire our old one which is also a Kipling but is about 10 years old. Actually, I still use the old one for my daily walks with my dogs - it's just very worn at this point so I took the plunge and got another one. Anyway, when shopping, I didn't even look for another product as I know the Kipling product well. We have a couple of the Kipling backpacks in addition to the old fanny pack and all I can say is that their products are TOTALLY durable. After considerable use, the zippers have never broken, the stitching has never come undone, and the fabric has never torn. I like the way the look, the functionality of the design and they remain priced very reasonably. What more can you ask for?
