Are the dimensions given inside or outside? I have a laptop that is 17.2 x1.65 x 11.4, will it fit in this case?

All dimensions are external measurements. For an idea of the internal size subtract one inch from each dimension. The inside will be about 12"x17"x3". I do not believe your laptop will fit.- Answered

Q:
What does the term "expandable" mean when it says it expands from 4.5" to 5.5". Does the outside physical dimension change or does it mean the inside dimension is 4.5" with the 4 file organizer and 5.5" without? Any info would be helpful.

There is a gusseted pocket around the circumference of the bag, that if needed, will allow the depth of the bag to increase by an inch. So yes the outside of the bag does physically increase.- Answered

31, 2006 Title: Looks good but not so durable. I purchased this attache case thinking that I would get the "Samsonite quality". The case is very nice looking outside and inside liner is nice. From day one though, one of the latches was a little out of alignment did not latch with ease. I could live with that though and otherwise I was very happy with the performance. But......after a few months of traveling with me, the interior hinges that hold the top up became looser and the outside leather seams started becoming unglued. Probably from sitting in a hot truck in the middle of summer. Needless to say, now I have an attache with duct tape on the outside to hold the leather on and I am shopping for a new one already for better durability.

910315 Product Review I bought the attache for my husband's birthday. I ordered in on Sunday and had it by Tuesday! This is the 2nd time I've ordered from Luggage Online and have been exceptionally pleased with their prompt service. The attache is only 1 month old so it is too soon to determine its durability. The features of the case appear much more expensive than the great price I paid. My husband thinks it cost much more!

910315 Product Review This briefcase is far better looking in person than the photo depicts it to be. The exterior is perfect and the hardware and locks are far superior to another brand name briefcase that I previously owned prior to purchasing this one. The interior is luxurious and the compartments are very functional.

16, 2005 Title: Great attache I recently had to replace my attache case of 25 years and I could not find one anywhere of decent quality. The one I purchased from you far exceeds my expectations in design and functionally. And it looks good too. I get compliments from everyone about it.
