I wanted to know if this garment bag is long enough to fit the size of a little girls flower girl dress without having to fold it up?

This bag does fold up. When folded in half expect it to be around 26 inches. You might want to take a look at this garment cover:

2212 Product Review This bag has been on four flights since it's purchase. Each time it was on the baggage conveyers at the airports, it was not secure at the unfolded end. Both ends seem to get disjointed and the bag ends separate by a few inches. The bag would be better if the ends and sides attached securely to each other. This could be done with a zipper or velcro straps/flaps. It does a good job keeping clothes neat and ready to wear. The 54" size is one reason my clothes are kept neat in the bag.

17, 2007 Title: Garment Bag I loved it. I looked everwhere for the longest airline accepted garment bag for my wedding dress and your company was the only one I could find. It really held the dress well and was easily handled!
