Carry-on luggage is the type of baggage that you will bring onto the plane with you, as opposed to checking it, in which case it would have been stored in the luggage compartment of the airplane and will not be accessible to you after you have checked in for your flight, until you arrive at your destination.

Even if an item is not on the prohibited list, the security officers do have the right to declare an item as not-permitted.
